Miley Cyrus is going back to her roots. And by roots, the singer-actress meant that she’s growing back her brown hair. Liam Hemsworth’s girlfriend even showed off how long her natural hair is at the moment via Instagram.

On Monday, Cyrus updated her fans on social media that she’s growing back her brunette locks again. The “We Can’t Stop” hitmaker posted a selfie that shows her grabbing the remaining length of the bleached blonde hair she still has. It’s clear in the snap that her brunette hair has grown longer, and she intends to go au naturel this year.

Cyrus started to color her hair blonde in 2012, but she went full bleached blonde after her 2013 split from Hemsworth. For three years, Cyrus has been sporting the golden locks while promoting her music and doing her working engagements.

Now that she and Hemsworth are back together, it appears that the “Hannah Montana” star is also willing to go back to her old self — at least in terms of hair color. Her hair update is also very timely, since her boyfriend just turned 27 a few days ago.

Over the weekend, Miley hosted a weed-themed party for Hemsworth, her friend Wayne Coyne and younger sister Noah. The “Wrecking Ball” songstress fully documented the joint birthday bash on Instagram, showing off some of the goodies she got for the occasion.

In one post, Miley thanked Snoop Dogg and his company Merry Jane for providing the ganja bags and goodies for the party. She also flaunted the new bong she got from Snoop Dogg’s cannabis-focused business.

Meanwhile, amid all the craziness of the celebrations for Hemsworth’s birthday, Miley got really romantic when she expressed how lucky she is to have him as her lover. She posted a wacky selfie with her “The Last Song” leading man and revealed in the caption that Hemsworth’s been her “best friend” since the first time they met.
