Although it can’t yet be confirmed, it seems all the building blocks are in place for a romantic reconciliation between singer Miley Cyrus and “Hunger Games” star Liam Hemsworth. After ending their engagement nearly two years ago, the duo was photographed vacationing with Hemsworth’s family in Australia, prompting fans to wonder if they're getting back together.

According to a report from The Australian Telegraph, the two were first spotted together attending the Falls Music Festival in Byron Bay with some of the actor’s friends and family, including his brothers Chris Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth. The outlet reports that the couple engaged in some PDA (“cuddling” and “kissing”) at the event before retiring backstage to a VIP lounge, where they allegedly continued to be affectionate with each other. Unfortunately, there is no video or photo evidence of the aforementioned PDA. However, there are several pictures of the two hanging out down under.

According to CNN, several photos were posted to social media either by fans who saw them out and about or family capturing the Australian get together themselves. Unfortunately, none of them contain any damning evidence that the former engaged couple is planning to get back together.

According to People, Cyrus and Hemsworth first met on the set of “The Last Song” in 2010. After dating for roughly two years, they got engaged in 2012. However, they called off the engagement and ended their relationship a year later.

As previously reported, after Cyrus called it quits with her new boyfriend, Patrick Schwarzenegger, after just five months, she started spending more time with her ex in Los Angeles. While the evidence is piling up that they’re on their way to rekindling their long-lost love, there may be another explanation for the time spent together. Cyrus previously told Elle U.K. that, although they broke up, she still has a friendly relationship with Hemsworth.

“You break up and it’s everywhere,” she said of the media’s reaction to her split. “And it’s like, ‘They’ve moved on,’ but actually often it’s all good. Me and Liam are still so close and we love each other, and they make it like there is negativity.”

Unfortunately, the Australian vacation isn’t enough to prove anything, so those that are fans of the duo together will have to wait and see what, if anything, crystalizes between the two stars in the coming weeks.
