The general public wasn’t keen on Miley Cyrus’ performance at MTV’s Video Music Awards Sunday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., but celebrities also weren’t impressed with her “We Can’t Stop” act and probably even more befuddled when she stripped into a nude two- piece and began to grind on “Blurred Lines” star Robin Thicke during their duet.

Her tongue was out of her mouth more than it was in it. In fact, if she wasn’t singing the tongue was definitely out. She grinded with giant teddy bears, patted a girl’s behind, and put an oversized-foam finger in places an oversized-foam finger should never go.

On that note, why was the foam finger even there? Why was she wearing mini-buns Scary Spice style circa 1995? Why did she rub her private area on a married man? So many questions and none of which probably have a valid answer.

Rihanna seemed stunned while watching her in the audience and there’s a viral image of Drake with his head down as Cyrus twerked around the stage. Other celebs took to Twitter to express their concern and utter confusion with the once-wholesome singer.

Miley Cyrus was probably trying to get people talking and to prove that she was grown up, kind of like what Britney Spears did during her “Oops I Did It Again” performance at the VMAs in 2000, but instead many thought she came off looking trashy and anything but sober.

Check out what some of her fellow celebrities said about the unforgettable, though probably regrettable, performance:
