The jury is still out on whether the fight between “Wrecking Ball” singer Miley Cyrus and “Anaconda” rapper Nicki Minaj at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night was staged, but it was enough to worry the former Disney star’s famous parents, Hollywood Life wrote in an exclusive report Thursday. Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus supposedly fear for their daughter’s safety.

“Miley is blowing it off; she says Nicki just proved her point on live TV. She showed everyone she really is a mean person,” an insider told Hollywood Life. “Tish and Billy are proud of the way Miley handled the whole thing, but they’re also very worried. Their fear is that Nicki will do something physical to their little girl.”

Even though Cyrus’ parents think Minaj might have something violent in store for their daughter, the former “Hannah Montana” star isn’t concerned. “Miley’s parents are taking this harder than she is,” the insider added.

Cyrus also has more to worry about than what Minaj thinks of her. The singer just released her new album, “Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz.” Her dog Floyd, who was killed by a coyote while she was on tour in April 2014, probably inspired the title.

Cyrus, 22, was so distraught by his death that she cried onstage, and got a tattoo of her late pet with a bubble that says, "With a little help from my fwiends." (Yes, it’s fwiends, not friends.) She also performed with a giant blow-up dog that resembled Floyd.

The singer isn’t charging for her new album, which can be listened to for free at mileycyrusandherdeadpetz.com. It’s much different from her last album, "Bangerz," and has weird intros and strange lyrics.
