David Beckham revealed that his little girl Harper can run in heels. The four-year-old mini fashionista has mastered the art of running around in high heels. The retired footballer’s wife and fashion designer Victoria Beckham had told before the presentation of her Spring/Summer 2016 collection during New York Fashion Week that their daughter wanted to play football, and it was a “ dagger through the heart.”
However, Beckham said that the couple’s daughter has been sticking to one of her mother’s trademark accessories – heels, Hello reported. The former England football captain was speaking with Susanna Reid on “Good Morning Britain” on Tuesday.
The 40-year-old recounted how Victoria pleaded with him for at least one of their kids to follow her footsteps like “dress like me or wear high heels.” “And actually Harper is amazing, she runs in high heels so she’s definitely got that from Victoria,” Beckham said on the iTV show.
The former footballer said that since the time Harper had said that she wanted to play football, he has been constantly teasing his designer wife with clips of their little girl when she plays football. Beckham joked and said that it was perhaps one of the best things that he had heard.
Becks as he is popularly called, loves to pull pranks on his kids as well as his wife. He recollected one instance of him playing football with the kids and said how Harper was wearing a very pretty dress and along with it a pair of pink football boots. Beckham told that he made a video and sent it to Victoria and loved every bit of it.
The doting dad loves his daughter and had told during the press conference to celebrate 10 years of his fragrance Instinct that their tot embraces the passion of both her parents. Beckham said that as soon as Harper is inside the house, she puts on her ballerina outfit and wears Victoria’s heels and goes about the whole house. The father-of-four added that she also puts on her brothers’ football boots.
Meanwhile, Beckham also put an end to the rumor mills about his possible James Bond debut. He said that he had not been contacted for the film, but he admitted that he felt nice to be linked to the movie.
