Fueled by a resurgent superstar's return, the Minnesota Vikings hit the road to meet the Indianapolis Colts Sunday afternoon at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The game begins at 1pm eastern time and will be shown by FOX, or watch a live stream online by purchasing NFL Sunday Ticket Max.

The return of franchise running back Adrian Peterson ignited the Vikings offense and propelled them to a 26-23 overtime victory against the improving Jacksonville Jaguars.

Peterson finished the day with 84 yards and two touchdowns, and said this week he wants to break the NFL all-time rushing record set by Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith.

Peterson was the spearpoint leading a balanced Minnesota offense, with quarterback Christian Ponder efficiently managing the passing attack. Ponder went 20-for-27 for 270 yards, and connected with wide receiver Percy Harvin six times for 84 yards.

Indianapolis did not display the same kind of offensive prowess.

No. 1 pick Andrew Luck had a rough start to his NFL career, with three interceptions and one lost fumble in the Colts 41-21 loss to the Chicago Bears.

Luck ended the day going 23-for-45 for 309 yards and one touchdown. Veteran wide receiver Reggie Wayne was his top target, catching nine balls for 135 yards, but the Colts failed to establish the run, gaining only 63 yards on the ground.

The Indianapolis defense gave up 333 passing yards to Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler, and could give up near the same amount Sunday if Ponder continues to pinpoint his strikes.

Indianapolis defensive end Dwight Freeney, who has a high ankle sprain, and linebacker Pat Angerer are listed as out against the Vikings.

Betting Odds: Minnesota is favored by 1.5 points.

Prediction: Minnesota seemed like a completely different team from last season against Jacksonville last week, and could be a rising team in the loaded NFC. Even if Luck cuts down on his turnovers, the Colts defense must contain Peterson and bring down Ponder for any chance to win.

Predicted Score: Minnesota 31, Indianapolis 17
