A few friends of former Hollywood couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert may have experienced some awkward moments when Shelton and Lambert ended their marriage and moved on to have their own separate relationships.  However, a close friend of Lambert recently revealed that she approves of Shelton’s relationship with Stefani.

Ashley Monroe, one of Lambert’s best friends, gushed over the two musicians during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight at the red carpet event of the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Monday.  She described the former “The Voice” judge Stefani as “awesome” and commented that she would like to give the singer a high five in case she sees her during the event.

She also recounted that she met Stefani when she previously sang with Shelton at “The Voice” show and mentioned that she will never forget how the “Make Me Love You” crooner had complimented her. Apart from gushing over Stefani, Monroe also had positive things to say about Shelton and his girlfriend's relationship.

"I think that any time you feel that in your heart, then you're a good match, you know. You can find someone just like you and it not work. Find someone opposite and it does, and I like that about love,” Monroe told Entertainment Tonight.

Shelton and Lambert were married for four years before the two country singers announced their divorce in July 2015. Lambert has been recently linked to R&B singer Anderson East, while Shelton has found a new love in the “No Doubt” singer Stefani. The two “Voice” judges have been seen hanging out together and being very affectionate with each other. Stefani and former husband Gavin Rossdale had also announced their separation in 2015.

Most recently, Shelton and Stefani were spotted enjoying a cozy evening on Valentine’s Day at Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammys party on Sunday, Us Weekly magazine reported. Stefani even sat on Shelton’s lap while they watched the performances during the event. The two were all smiles during the party and looked very happy together.

Other stars who attended the pre-Grammy Awards gala included Avril Lavigne, Hollywood couple Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, as well as former One Direction band mates Harry Styles and Zayn Malik.
