For the third time in five years, Miss Venezuela has taken the Miss Universe crown. Gabriela Isler became the 62nd Miss Universe Saturday night, beating out 85 other hopefuls in the 2013 pageant held at Moscow’s Crocus City Hall in Russia.

Last year’s winner, Miss USA Olivia Culpo, crowned 25-year-old Isler at the end of the two-hour finale, which was viewed by an estimated 1 billion people in 190 countries.

"I have a lot of emotions. I can't describe all the things that I feel at this moment because I'm shaking," she said after being named the winner. "I'm still in shock. I feel so blessed, so happy to be here."

Isler’s win marks the seventh Miss Universe win for Venezuela in the pageant's history, including wins in 2008 (Dayana Mendoza) and 2009 (Stefanie Fernandez). Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro tweeted on Saturday night: “Congratulations to Maria Gabriela Isler for this victory, which is the triumph of Venezuela. May God bless you always!”

The first runner-up was Miss Spain, Patricia Yurena Rodriguez, who will assume the duties of Miss Universe 2013 if the titleholder for some reason cannot fulfill her responsibilities. The second runner-up was Miss Ecuador, Constanza Baez, followed by Miss Brazil, Jakelyne Oliveira, and Miss Philippines, Ariella Arida.

The rest of the top 16 included: Miss Great Britain, Amy Willerton; Miss India, Manasi Moghe; Miss USA, Erin Brady; Miss Ukraine, Olga Storozhenko; and Miss Dominican Republic, Yaritza Reyes; Miss Costa Rica, Fabiana Granados; Miss China, Jin Ye; Miss Indonesia, Whulandary; Miss Puerto Rico, Monic Perez; Miss Nicaragua, Nastassja Bolivar; and Miss Switzerland, Dominique Rinderknecht.

Miss Poland, Paulina Krupinska, was awarded Miss Photogenic, and Miss China, Jin Ye, was awarded Miss Congeniality, each winning a $1,000 cash prize and a gift from Diamond Nexus.

On Sunday, Isler was already carrying out her Miss Universe duties, the first being a photo op while wearing a ruby and diamond bejeweled swimsuit worth an estimated $1 million designed by Yamamay.

Isler, whose full name is Maria Gabriela de Jesus Isler Morales, is a 5-foot-10-inch beauty from Maracay, a city in north-central Venezuela. She also goes by the nickname “Molly,” which she uses on her Instagram account, mollysler.

The brunette holds a bachelor of arts degree in management and marketing and works for Venezuela's Venevision television as a broadcast host. The Guardian Las Vegas reported she is also trained as a flamenco dancer and is half Venezuelan, half Swiss.

Heavy.com reported Isler’s first job was wrapping gifts and loved her job because “she enjoyed talking to each person she wrapped a gift for to hear the gift's backstory.”

The Miss Universe pageant is one of the top three pageants in the world run by the Miss Universe Organization. Started in California in 1952 by clothing company Pacific Mills, it was acquired by Trump in 1996 and currently owns it in joint partnership with NBC Universal to select women who “personify the combination of beauty and intelligence that defines the 21st century.”
