Jeremy Renner is undoubtedly a doting father to his 2-year-old daughter, Ava Berlin. The actor brought his little girl on the set of his latest movie project, “Story of Your Life,” and told E!News all about it.

E!News reported Monday the “Mission Impossible” star revealed both he and his daughter colored while on set. "I don't know what she thinks I am,” Renner said. “She does know I'm going to work. Literally from the trailer, I tell her, ‘Daddy's got to work now,' and she says, 'OK,' and she came with me and we just colored." The actor added, "I think she thinks I'm a painter."

But coloring wasn’t the only thing that Renner did with Ava during her visit. The actor took his little girl around the film site and gave the tot a piggyback ride. Renner shared the moment on Instagram Thursday, captioning the father-daughter pic, "Behind the scenes set tour! #storyofyourlife #proudpapa #montreal."

During the E! interview, the star revealed his been able to relax with his current project. "I got to take a break because I literally shot the last 'Avengers' and this one back to back in London," Renner said. "'The Avengers' I trained a lot for, but this one I decided to lose weight for once because I didn't have to train and I wanted to give my body a break. It was actually a nice reprieve from torturing my body every morning."

Meanwhile, the 44-year-old star revealed being a father was the “best thing” he has ever done and plans on “doing it later in life,” People reported. The actor said by that time he would have achieved a lot of his goals and would have more time to spend with his family.

Renner married Canadian model Sonni Pacheco, but they split after only 10 months of marriage. Renner shares joint legal and physical custody of their daughter Ava.
