The Mlais M7 is the latest smartphone released by the Chinese smartphone maker that comes with an impressive design and features. It is available for $189, and Mlais is doing its best to globally market the M7 -- as well as the M52 Red Note and M4 Note -- through Facebook.

Now, the Chinese company has started a new promotional campaign for the Mlais M7. Starting Monday, the manufacturer began offering special discount codes to potential customers. A post published on its official Facebook page claims that in order to get the discount code, customers must send a private message to Mlais.

Random users will receive a discount code that will be valid for 24 hours. The code will allow users to purchase the device for $149 instead of $189. Mlais cautions readers that the discounted price does not include shipping costs. Those who purchase the device from overseas should review the customs details of their country and pay additional tax, if necessary.

The Mlais M7 has a thickness of 8.6 mm. It houses an HD screen of 5.5-inch and supports a display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The device is powered by a MediaTek MT6752 chipset that features a 64-bit octa-core processor and Mali-T760 graphics. The processor can deliver a clocking speed of 1.5 GHz. The chipset will be coupled with 3 GB of RAM.

The internal storage of the device is 16 GB and it supports up to 64 GB of microSD on its external storage. One of the unique selling propositions (USPs) of the device is that it features a fingerprint sensor. The handset supports dual SIM cards. Some of the connectivity features of the device include 4G LTE connectivity, 3G, Wi-Fi and 4.0 Bluetooth.

The device will come be preinstalled with Google's Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system (OS). The rear side of the Mlais M7 features a 13 MP shooter whereas on the front, there is a 5 MP shooter. It is packed with a battery of 2,600 mAh capacity.
