Additional audio features for the MLB '09 The Show have been released. Senior Sound Designer Andrew Bracken from Sony's San Diego Studios and MLB introduced the new audio features to all for all PlayStation baseball fans.

The new audio addition will allow every gamer to use the features called Sounds of the Show which allows the gamers to record voice and hear it in the game through the use of custom Chants and Yells feature. The Yells and Chants can be added to any player in the Personalize tab, either as cheers or jeers.

A customizable music was also added in which a player can add music to players' batter walk ups, home run celebrations, and relief pitcher entrances. Players are also given a chance to chose what part of the song is being played with the use of new developed music editor which will give chance to a player to mark three marker points. The music editor is not only in the PS3 game but also the PSP as well.

We have been having a lot of fun with it and we're sure you guys will, too. So warm up those vocal chords and get ready to yell. But please try and be nice...unless you're playing against the Yankees, quoted from Bracken's official Sony blogs I am definitely enjoying having my created player come up to bat while the chorus for Culture Club's Karma Chameleon is pumping out of the stadiums speakers....er...wait - did I say Culture Club? I meant Metallica, he wrote.

In addition, a new audio option for the game called music mode was also added. This feature will turn off the announcements and play the players music continuously throughout the game. Players also have the option to hear the music through PA speakers like in a stadium sounds, or play music normally.
