Ariel Winter is more confident and bold these days. The actress recently opened up about her thoughts on body-shaming and her love for her body in her new interview with LaPalme magazine.

The "Modern Family" star, who graces the cover of LaPalme magazine's Fall 2017 issue, channeled pinup girls like Bettie Page with her blunt eyebrow-length bangs and medium-length black hair in soft waves in the clip Us Weekly shared on Instagram. According to the publication, the photoshoot was set at the Hollywood Castle in California.

In her interview with LaPalme, Winter, 19, opened up about being a victim of body-shaming and revealed that her critics and attackers' words no longer affect her. The "Sofia the First" star said she has become used to the online bullies who continue to criticize her outfits and figure every chance they have. Winter added that she realized the only person she has to please is herself and the only opinion that matters is her own.

"I get criticized in the press every day for the things I do. Other girls will wear the exact same things I wear, and they'll get 'so-and-so looks cute in a crop top on her day out' and I'll get 'Ariel bares all in a skimpy outfit, yet again,' and it will be me wearing the same thing as another person who just got praised, and I got cut down," Winter explained.

"For so many years I tried to change my appearance, and I tried to do different things to make myself so everyone is going to accept me, and they didn't," she added. "The only person's opinion that matters, the only person that gets to have a say in you, is you. We need to spend more time pleasing ourselves and caring less about what other people say."

In related news, Winter is back to school and is currently attending UCLA. However, her first day of school did not go as well as she had hoped as paparazzi continued to follow her to the campus. "Well the paparazzi just successfully ruined my first day of school. Thanks," she wrote on Twitter.

The actress was photographed wearing a white shirt, classic jean shorts and white platform sneakers during her first day back. Winter previously said that she didn't want to be on the news unless it was about a project and added that she didn't want to be pictured in shorts. "So trust me. I don't want to see me in shorts," she wrote in a lengthy rant on Instagram.
