The copper market started out this morning's trading with moderate gains, due in part to stronger global equity markets. Some traders feel that copper may be anticipating some form of assistance from the Federal Reserve, as well as the prospect of some fresh assistance for sectors of the Chinese economy. While US Durable Goods news this morning will be an important market-moving result, many traders expect that the market might wait until the Fed news is released later today before economic condition have an impact on copper prices. LME copper stocks overnight showed a decline of 475 tons, which puts LME copper stocks down at 256,400 metric tons.
