November RBOB prices were higher in early morning action and managed to overcome yesterday's high in the process. It appears that the gasoline market benefits from tight supply conditions along the US East and West coast regions. Some cash traders indicated that NY Harbor gasoline traded at its highest level relative to nearby futures, for this time of the year, in nearly 10 years. Some traders indicated that support for the gasoline market could also be coming from reports that a key unit at Chevron's Richmond California refinery would remain closed until the end of the year.
