December heating oil prices traded decisively lower during the early morning hours and broke down below the October 3rd low in the process. Some traders suggested that the weakness in the heating oil market stemmed from a combination of waning US harvest demand for diesel, an aggressive selloff in crude oil and prospects for a rebound in US distillate supplies.
