April heating oil prices were fractionally higher during the initial morning hours, supported by early gains in crude oil and prospects for colder US temperatures. Meanwhile, the latest Commitments of Traders Futures and Options report as of February 22nd showed non-commercial traders were net long 24,412 contracts, a decrease of 4,068. Commercial traders were net short 44,634 contracts, a decrease of 1,806. Non-commercial and nonreportable traders combined held a net long position of 44,634 contracts, a decrease of 1,805 during the report week.
