September heating oil prices established a higher high in overnight action, but they seemed to come off their best levels in the wake of a rebound in the US dollar and sell off in Brent crude oil. The Commitments of Traders Futures and Options report as of July 24th showed non-commercial traders were net long 1,016 contracts, an increase of 830. Non-commercial and nonreportable traders combined held a net long position of 6,808 contracts, for an increase of 3,450 during the report week.
