November natural gas prices had a gap lower open Tuesday evening following yesterday's advance to the highest level since January 5th. It seemed that some of the recent support in the natural gas market came from US weather forecasts calling for cooler temperatures, as well as a growing threat of a Tropical Depression west of the Cape Verde islands. Meanwhile, some traders were concerned that higher natural gas prices could inspire a shift in demand in favor of cheaper priced coal.
