October natural gas took on negative track during the early morning hours, despite expectations that Tropical Storm Nate could reach hurricane status in the next 24 hours. There are reports that some companies have evacuated workers from platforms in the Bay of Campeche. There also seems to be a wide variation of computer-generated storm tracks. Yesterday's EIA weekly natural gas storage report showed an injection of 64 bcf, which was slightly higher than expected. Total storage stands at 3,025 bcf, or 1.9% below the 5 year average. Over the last four weeks natural gas storage has increased 242 bcf.
