October natural gas took on a slightly higher track early this morning, partially supported by yesterday's technical rebound. Some traders indicated that the market managed this rebound in the face of a number of seemingly negative factors, including prospects for cooler temperatures this week, a weak macroeconomic tone and prospects for supplies being built. Additionally, the level of storm activity in the Atlantic has calmed down considerably, with Tropical Storm Maria expected to take an easterly track away from the US in coming days.
