December natural gas prices were mixed during the early morning trade as they consolidated the recent 2-day break. The 6 to 10 day weather forecasts indicate normal to above normal temperatures for the Eastern half of the US and a wider range of normal temperatures through the Midwest. Traders noted that the warmer Northeast temperatures were seen limiting heat-related demand for natural gas. Expectations for this morning's EIA are for an injection of 60 to 65 bcf. That is in line with last year's injection of 67 bcf but considerably higher than 5 year average injection of 35 bcf.
