February natural gas prices slipped nearly 4.0% lower in early morning action, and that follows a more than 2.0% decline yesterday. Some traders attributed the early weakness to a wave of normal to above normal temperatures on the 6 to 10 day weather maps that it covers. Another factor weighing on the market seems to be the latest 2012 production forecast from the EIA, which shows a gain of nearly 1.5% above 2011 levels to another record high.
