June natural gas prices traded higher during the early morning session, as they tried to extend yesterday's advance. Yesterday's move above congestion climbed to the highest level since March 26th. There are some indications that the natural gas market could be tightening, especially with expectations of further production cuts in the US. Monthly data from the EIA raised their US natural gas demand forecast for 2012, which is expected to show an increase of more than 5.0% compared to year ago levels. At the same time, the agency fractionally reduced their 2012 US production forecasts compared to last month.
