September natural gas prices traded higher during the early morning hours, supported in part by Tropical Storm Don gaining momentum in the Gulf of Mexico. Some traders also pointed to near term weather forecasts that call for a jump in temperatures and potential for an active 2011 hurricane season as forces lending support. Meanwhile, forecasts for record domestic natural gas production this year appears to be a factor hanging over the market and limiting gains. Expectations for this morning's EIA Storage report are for an injection of 45 bcf, which compares to last year's increase of 31 bcf.
