September natural gas prices traded lower during the initial morning hours, triggered by concerns of slowing economic growth, easing Midwest temperatures and reduced storm threats in the Atlantic. The latest weather maps forecast below normal temperatures across most of the southeastern US for the August 21st to 25th time period, and that is seen as a factor that could limit near term demand. The National Hurricane Center is tracking a low-pressure system in the eastern Caribbean that they estimate has a 20% of developing into a Tropical Cyclone.
