Motorola has unveiled the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus through a launch event in New Delhi, India. The specifications, features, release date and pricing of Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus smartphones have been revealed.

Moto G4, G4 Plus Specifications and Features

The Moto G4 and G4 Plus both feature 5.5 inch display that supports full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The screens of both smartphones are protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

The Moto G4 as well as Moto G4 Plus are powered by the same Snapdragon 617 chipset. The Moto G4 features 2GB of RAM and it comes in two inbuilt storage editions of 16GB and 32GB. It also features a microSD card slot.

The Moto G4 Plus will be also available in two storage editions. The 16GB model will be coupled with 2GB of RAM whereas the 32GB model will feature 3GB of RAM. The G4 Plus is also enabled with a microSD card slot.

 Both the smartphones come preinstalled with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS overlaid with Moto Pure software. The latter brings additional features such as "Swipe to unlock," "Swipe to dismiss" and "Pick up to stop ringing."

Moto G4 Plus features a fingerprint scanner placed under a square-shaped Home button. The fingerprint sensor supports fast unlocking in just 750ms. Moto G4 lacks a fingerprint reader.

The Moto G4 has a 13-megapixel rear shooter with an f/2.2 aperture that is enabled dual LED flash. On the other side, the Moto G4 Plus is equipped with a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture lens on its rear panel. It comes with features like dual LED flash, laser and phase detection autofocus. Both the phones have 5-megapixel selfie cameras that are equipped with 84 degrees’ wide-angle lens.

Both smartphones are packed with 3000 mAh batteries with fast charging feature. A Turbo Charger will be available exclusively with Moto G4 Plus smartphone that allows users to get a battery backup of 6 hours by charging it for only 15 minutes.

Moto G4, G4 Plus Release Date And Price

The Moto G4 Plus will be available from Amazon India starting at midnight local time. The 16GB and 32GB models respectively cost 13,499 INR ($202) and 14,449 INR ($217).

The Moto G4 will be launched in the next month and its price will be revealed then, Zee News reported. Rumors have it that both the smartphones will be made available in other markes like Brazil, Europe, Latin America, North America, and some regions of Asia.
