Motorola and Verizon have revealed that they will be unwrapping new Droid devices on Oct. 27 by a media event that will be held at New York City. Rumors have it that the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and the Motorola Droid Maxx 2 will be announced on that day.

According to GSM Arena, the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is the same handset that has been referred to as Motorola X Force by the recent rumors. The handset will be released in the U.S. as the Droid Turbo 2. However, it will be launched as Motorola X Force in other countries.

The Droid Turbo 2 will be coming out to replace last year’s Droid Turbo. It will be arriving with an unbreakable Quad HD display of 5.5 inches and it will be featuring the Snapdragon 810 chipset under its hood. The octa-core CPU of the SoC will be coupled with 3 GB of RAM.

The handset will be available in native storage variants like 32 GB and 64 GB. The rear camera will be of 21-megapixel and the front will be featuring a 5-megapixel camera. It will be packed with a 3,760 mAh battery that will support fast charging, Phone Arena reported.

The Motorola Droid Maxx 2 that is also speculated to get unveiled on Oct. 29 in the U.S is the very same handset that has been launched as Moto X Play in other countries.

The Moto X Play features a 5.5-inch display that supports full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by Snapdragon 615 chipset the features an octa-core processor and 2 GB of RAM. It will arrive in storage editions of 16 GB and 32 GB. It also features a 21-megpaixel rear camera and a front-facing camera of 5-megapixel. It is equipped with a battery of 3,630 mAh battery.
