Mount Etna started erupting in end July, spewing ash and lava in Zafferana Etnea, on the southern Italian island of Sicily.

Europe's tallest and most active volcano, Mount Etna’s eruption lighted the Sicilian sky this weekend as it ejected lava into the sky as high as 200-250m (650-820ft), BBC reported.

However, the authorities said the volcanic lava posed no danger to inhabited areas.
