British actor Rowan Atkinson, who got international fame as “Mr. Bean”, was injured in a car crash on Thursday.

The Blackadder star sustained a minor shoulder injury when his McLaren F1 super car hit a tree and lamppost and caught fire at Haddon near Peterborough, BBC reported.

According to media reports, he walked off from the car and waited until an ambulance arrived. "Crews brought the fire under control by 8.13pm. They made the vehicle safe and used one hose reel to put out the fire ... There was one casualty but he was not trapped," a spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said.

Atkinson, 56, is famous for comedy show Not The Nine O'Clock News and sitcoms likes Blackadder and Mr. Bean. He is passionate about cars and has even written car reviews for magazines like Car, Octane and Evo. He had also done a review of McLaren F1 for UK magazine SuperClassics.
