Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) will be going into the secure building at Steel Mountain to hack their system in “Mr. Robot,” episode 5. Cast members Martin Wallstrom and Carly Chaikin shared their insight about the NBC series in separate interviews.

[Spoiler Alert!]

Elliot was supposed to hack into the building in the previous episode, but his drug problem had stopped the hackers from going through with the plan. The preview video of the next episode shows that he has recovered and will be going into the building personally.

The plan is to hack the climate control of the Steel Mountain building to increase the temperature and render their files unreadable. Elliot had said he will need a “Raspberry Pi” to do this. The preview video shows him installing this device into their system while his fellow team members watch from a parked vehicle outside.

There may be some unanticipated problems for the members of “F Society” at the secure building. The leader of the hack group, played by Christian Slater, can be seen saying in the video that the “revolution” will be “dead and buried.”

Meanwhile, Angela Moss (Portia Doubleday) reveals that she hacked the servers at Allsafe Cybersecurity through her boyfriend Ollie Parker (Ben Rappaport). She had used Ollie’s pass to get into the office and hack the system in the previous episode of “Mr. Robot.”

Another video uploaded on the YouTube channel of the TV series shows an interview with cast member Wallstrom (Tyrell Wellick). He described his character as being “ruthless” and as a “bad guy.” The actor explained that the TV show is mostly from Elliot’s point of view and that watching it is like being inside the head of the protagonist. He revealed that he got the role after auditioning for it in Sweden and that it is “a lot of fun” to play the character.

Chaikin (Darlene) said in this video that she was second in command in the “F Society” group. She described her character as one of the “best hackers there is.” Darlene’s entire life is focused on the hack group's mission, the actress said.
