Just like everyone else, MTV loves Ryan Gosling -- so much that the actor is up for three prizes at this year's MTV Movie Awards, including Best Male Performance for his role in Drive.

Nominations for the MTV Movie Awards, now in its 21st edition, were announced on Monday. There was also plenty of love for Bridesmaids and The Hunger Games, which were nominated for eight popcorn awards each.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 is up for six awards, including Best Male and Female Performances in Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, respectively.

This year's MTV Movie Awards will also welcome five new categories: Best Music, Best On-Screen Transformation, Best Gut-Wrenching Performance, Best Cast and Best On-Screen Dirt Bag.

Yes. Dirt bag.

Potentially taking home the title for Best On-Screen Dirt Bag this year are Bryce Dallas Howard in The Help, Jon Hamm in Bridesmaids, Oliver Cooper in Project X and Horrible Bosses co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Colin Farrell.

Notably missing from the best acting categories were Twilight lovebirds Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. The latest Twilight film eligible for contention, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 nabbed only two nominations for Movie of the Year and Best Kiss.

The 2012 MTV Movie Awards will be handed out on June 3 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif. Fans can begin to vote for their favorites on Tuesday at 8 a.m. EST.
