“My 600-LB” follows the stories of morbidly obese patients who are trying to secure a second chance at life. TLC

On the latest episode of “My 600-LB Life” Season 6, viewers met Janine Mueller, a 621-pound woman who relied on a motorized scooter and had little mobility.

Although Janine suffered through several panic attacks which hindered her weight loss journey, a new update reveals that she may have been able to bounce back from her failures.

At 54 years old, Janine struggled to live a normal life. The patient, who was adopted when she was about 2 months old, revealed that she felt like a constant disappointment to her adoptive parents, who were warned that her biological mother was a “large woman.”

“My mom was always on me about the diet, always on me about eating,” Janine explained on the TLC series.

“I can still, in the back of my head, hear her yelling at me to stop eating. It made me feel like there was something wrong with me and that I was a disappointment to my parents,” she confessed to the “My 600-LB Life” cameras.

“They had wanted this cute, little daughter, and instead of some cute, little, blonde, darling daughter, they got me.”

When Janine finally decided to change her life and schedule a visit with Dr. Nowzaradan, she struggled to make it to her appointment because of her difficulty boarding the plane to Houston.

After arriving at the plane door, Janine went through an emotional episode as she tried to get off of her motorized scooter and walk to her seat.

By the time she was finally on the plane, she had to be taken to the hospital because she had a panic attack. Eventually, Janine was able to make it to Houston to meet Dr. Now, but shortly after, she suffered another panic attack and had to be hospitalized again.

Throughout her journey Janine failed to stick to the diet Dr. Now gave her and was not approved for gastric bypass surgery. However, her Facebook posts reveal that Janine has managed to lose some weight since her episode aired.

In September, she shared a post revealing she was heading to Texas, which could have meant she was going to visit Dr. Now once again. Almost a month later, she shared a photo of a squirrel with the words, “Thankful, grateful, blessed,” written across the picture.

In December, she shared two photos of herself and most recently, on Wednesday, Janine posted a selfie on her Facebook page revealing a much thinner face.

While she appeared to be sitting on her scooter and was possibly still immobile, it is clear that she has managed to shed several pounds since her episode.

“My 600-Lb Life” Season 6 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
