However, fans will have to wait for the next chapter to drop because “My Hero Academia” Chapter 278 will not be releasing Sunday, July 12.

The Weekly Shonen Jump magazine’s Issue 32 contains a statement regarding the delay.

The statement mentions that to reduce the risk of COVID-19, the manga will change the working style from “analog to digital.” Twitter user Hype, who share “My Hero Academia” news and spoiler, has tweeted the translated statement.

“It takes a lot of time to complete the manuscript and was hard to publish in this issue. So, we decided to suspend it,” reads the translated statement.

“My Hero Academia” will resume in a joint Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 33 and 34.

Meanwhile, the new schedule is out on Manga Plus, which is the official manga website from Shueisha. The listing on the website states the digital version of “My Hero Academia” Chapter 278 will arrive on Sunday, July 19.

This article contains “My Hero Academia” chapter 277 spoilers.

Shigaraki remains a major threat for the heroes and civilians. After getting awakened, Shigaraki has become almost unstoppable. His Decay Quirk is responsible for wiping out most of the heroes. Izuku Midoriya and Shigaraki battle as Aizawa struggles to keep his eyes open.

Midoriya knows that as long as Shigaraki’s Quirks are erased by Aizawa, they can join the fight against this villain.

Elsewhere, the High-End Nomu are keeping the heroes on the ground occupied. Midoriya fears that Shigaraki will decay everything again once the erasure comes undone.

However, Midoriya’s worst fear is to lose his beloved mentor – Aizawa. He remembers how Aizawa has watched over Class 1-A. Later, Katsuki Bakugo cuts in and attacks Shigaraki with his A.P. Machinegun. However, the blast is ineffective against the mighty Shigaraki, who mocks Bakugo’s attack.

“My Hero Academia” Chapter 277 ends with a panel featuring Gigantomachia, a member of Shigaraki’s Paranormal Liberation Front army, up against Mt. Lady.
