Stocks rose on Tuesday, with the Nasdaq up 1 percent on a drop in borrowing costs for Spain, which helped eased concerns about the European debt crisis.

Some corporate results that topped expectations, including from Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Coca-Co Co. , added to the positive tone.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 107.17 points, or 0.83 percent, at 13,028.58. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was up 10.34 points, or 0.75 percent, at 1,379.91. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was up 30.31 points, or 1.01 percent, at 3,018.71.
