The promo for season two of “Nashville” has hit and it is red hot! The ABC series went out with a bang (more like a crash) during its season finale, and its sophomore season promises not to skimp on any of the drama.

When “Nashville” fans left off, Rayna was trying to patch things up with Deacon after revealing that he was the father of her daughter. Deacon fell off the wagon again after learning of Rayna’s secret, and the pair were arguing when Rayna got into an accident -- flipping over their SUV. The episode ended with the car upside down, and the fate of the pair hanging in the air.

So, where will Deacon and Rayna be when season two of “Nashville” premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 25? NOT in a good place.

The promo shows the car still flipped over and on fire, but fortunately Deacon’s conscious (and I guess sober enough) to break himself out of the vehicle. He’ll be able to pull Rayna out of the wreckage, but that doesn’t mean she’s in the clear.

“Is she going to die?” a beat-up Deacon asks the doctors. With her family looking in on her, it doesn’t appear that Rayna will be able to shake off the accident. The cameras cut away from the unconscious singer as a flat-lining sound breaks through.

The good news is that Juliette will be as snarky as ever. “Now I have to compete with a saint in a coma,” she says in the promo.
