Expect Christina Aguilera to stick around “Nashville” Season 3 for a while longer. According to the episode 19 synopsis, the pop star’s character, Jade St. John. will still be in town, but she might want to run when she finds herself at an event with Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere). The country star’s jealous streak will be out in full force in the episode, titled “The Storm Has Just Begun.”
Jade will be attending a gala for Teddy’s (Eric Close) music education initiative, but Juliette will want the attention on her. She “plans her return to the spotlight,” the synopsis says, but she’ll be upset that she has to share it with Jade. In the promo for the episode, Juliette scorns the other singer. “You and your little country Barbie jacket, you don’t belong here,” Juliette says.

Jade will also hang out with Layla (Aubrey Peeples) at the event, and “Layla finds herself thrust" into the spotlight. The singer didn’t have great experiences last time she was the center of media attention. Her reality show portrayed her as stupid and gave people the wrong impression of her. Jade might be able to help Layla be taken seriously again.
Meanwhile, Rayna (Connie Britton) will plan a performance with Deacon (Charles Esten) and her daughters, Maddie (Lennon Stella) and Daphne (Maisy Stella). However, Deacon will have to pull out at the last minute when he “receives the call he’s been waiting for containing some life-changing news,” the synopsis teases. The promo above shows that Deacon will be matched with a liver donor, but will he make it through the surgery?
Not mentioned in the synopsis is what will happen to Teddy. In episode 18, Natasha (Moniqua Plante) was wearing a wire when the mayor of Nashville gave her a duffel bag of cash to leave town with. FBI agents said she had immunity as they took the recording device off of her. Will they arrest Teddy at his big event?
“Nashville” Season 3, episode 19 airs on Wednesday at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC. Do you think Deacon will survive the surgery without complications? Sound off in the comments section below!
