Thursday is National Beer Lover's Day, marked annually on Sept. 7 to celebrate those who love America's favorite beverage. To celebrate this day, drive to your local beer-selling grocery store and pick up the beverage or you can also go out with your friends to enjoy some drinks.

With so many varieties of beer out there, one can also celebrate this day by trying out something new — be it a unique ale, craft beer or artisanal beer.

Beer has been enjoyed since its creation during the Neolithic Era. The practice of brewing is believed to have started about 5,000 years ago. Former President Barack Obama was the first president of the U.S. to brew his own beer. Snake Venom is the strongest beer with an alcohol by volume content of 67.5 percent.

While many believe that beer may lead to a fatty stomach, it helps strengthen bones due to its silicone content which increases calcium deposits and minerals.
