Following up on the highly successful National Coffee Day 2010, this year there are even more deals for free coffee at many of the nation's top chains.
Thursday, Sept. 29 is a day that coffee addicts across the nation can join together and celebrate. For one day only, they will not regret spending an extra two to three dollars for their cup o' joe.
If you are part of the I need a cup of coffee to start my day club, you are not alone. Three out of five Americans think the same thing, according to a new coffee consumption survey commissioned by 7-Eleven.
Dunkin' Donuts did a survey of their own looking at the top 10 professions that are most likely to need coffee to get through the workday.
The joint Dunkin' Donuts / Career Builder survey looks at the top 10 coffee-guzzling professions:
1- Scientist/Lab Technician
2- Marketing/Public Relations Professional
5- Healthcare Administrator
7- Food Preparer
9- Social Worker
10- Financial Professional
And while we're talking coffee facts, here's a look at the top coffee drinking cities in the nation in 2011. Surprisingly, Seattle is not on top anymore.
2- New York
4- San Francisco
5- Los Angeles
Okay, enough facts - on to the deals.
First the bad news: Starbucks is not participating in National Coffee Day 2011 (hopefully in 2012!).
Don't cry too much because 7-Eleven, Krispy Kreme, Caribou Coffee, and Dunkin' Donuts are all giving away free or discounted coffee!
Here's a look at the deals:
Each customer gets a free medium coffee, cappuccino, or latte. Unfortunately, this deal only lasts until 11 a.m.
Head on over to Krispy Kreme and get yourself a free 12-ounce cup of House Blend Coffee. Best of all, there is no purchase necessary and the deal lasts all day long!
You won't get a free coffee at Dunkin Donuts, but you will get a medium coffee (hot or iced) for just 50 cents all day long.
This deal is not just for coffee. All day long at participating Caribou Coffee locations, when you buy one drink, the next one (of equal or lesser value) is free! Make sure to print out the coupon or pull it up on your phone before you go.
Happy coffee buz!
