The wildly popular National Dog Show's 16th annual Thanksgiving Day special will air 12 noon to 2 p.m. in all time zones across the U.S. on Thanksgiving Day. The annual canine competition will take place Saturday and Sunday in Oaks, Pennsylvania.

"The Kennel Club of Philadelphia’s two benched, all-breed dog shows are held on Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19, 2017. The shows, sanctioned by The American Kennel Club, will help raise money for a variety of canine-related causes. Prior beneficiaries of The Kennel Club of Philadelphia include The University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine," a statement on the show's official website read.

The show will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday.

Actor John O’Hurley will be hosting the NBC special, with expert commentary from David Frei on all the bizarre and beautiful breeds competing for Best in Show.

“For 16 years, the National Dog Show Presented by Purina has been at the forefront of the purebred dog world,” O’Hurley reportedly said. “I’m proud to be a part of a legacy that not only celebrates such a rich history of dog breeds, but also being part of a tradition that entertains everyone from 4 to 94.”

This year viewers can expect to see more than 2,000 different dogs fighting for the Best in Show title. This time, Purina will donate $1 (up to $50,000 total) from Nov. 16 to 26, for every unique canine-centered post shared on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the @purina and #DogThanking tags. The donation will be given to GreaterGood.org, an organization that helps provide relief to the people and pets affected by hurricanes in Florida, Texas and Puerto Rico.

Last year, Gia, a Greyhound, was named Best in Show beating six other finalists including Ty, a giant schnauzer; Slick, a border collie; Timmy, an English springer spaniel; Chuck, a Pekingese; Rondo, a West Highland white terrier; and Clue, a Tibetan terrier. The seven finalists competed among a lineup of 2,000 dogs from more than 200 breeds.
