Player ratings on "NBA 2K19" are important to anyone into the game and most expect a boost in ranking especially when players perform well. Right now, Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls and Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks saw their ratings jump a bit, something likely tied up to the fact that both are performing very well in the 2018-19 NBA season.

Since being traded by the Minnesota Timberwolves last year, LaVine seemed to be struggling as a Bull. But that is not the case this season with the 13th overall pick of the 2014 NBA Draft upping his numbers as of late.

For this month alone, LaVine has been averaging 29.8 points for the Bulls. Based on the latest "NBA 2K19" player rating update, his player rating jumped from 86 to 88 (+2).

The bad news is that Zach is dealing with knee issues and may be sidelined for the rest of the current NBA season. If so, Forbes reported that the 24-year-old guard may not be part of the next roster update -- meaning that could be it for now for two-time NBA Slam Dunk king.

On the other end, Trae Young is undoubtedly on a tear as well. The Atlanta Hawks rookie actually got a +3 in the "NBA 2K19" player ratings, jumping from 79 to 82. The 20-year-old has been averaging 23.3 points and 9 rebounds in February and is actually making a case for the NBA Rookie of the Year award. If he continues to perform well, he could snatch away that honor from Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks.

Looking at the latest update of "NBA 2K19" player rankings, Giannis Antetokounmpo saw his rating improve by +1 or 96 OVR. Other NBA stars who got a boost include:

  • Karl-Anthony Towns: 91 OVR (+1)
  • Bradley Beal: 88 OVR (+1)
  • Andre Drummond: 87 OVR (+1)
  • Chris Paul: 87 OVR (+1)
