All of the playoff matchups have yet to be set, but the NBA has released its schedule for the first weekend of postseason games.

The NBA Playoffs get underway Saturday, April 28. According to Howard Beck of the New York Times, the Bulls and the Heat will kick off the first few games. Chicago and Miami are the number one and two seeds, respectively, in the Eastern Conference. Unless the Sixers win and the Knicks lose their games on Thursday night, Philadelphia will face Chicago, and New York will play in Miami.

Both the Lakers and Celtics will get their respective series underway on Sunday. Boston will take on the Hawks, while Los Angeles' opponent is still undetermined. If everything holds serve, the Lakers will host the Nuggets. L.A. is 3-1 this season against Denver.

The Magic and Pacers will square off sometime on Saturday, while Memphis and the Clippers will play the next day.

As of now, the Thunder will play the defending champion Mavericks on Saturday. Top seeded San Antonio will play Utah on Sunday.

The first postseason game is scheduled to get underway at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, and the complete schedule will be released after the regular season is finished on Thursday night.

Many basketball writers are speculating that the Heat-Knicks matchup will be the first game.
