LeBron James wants to forget about his heart-breaking NBA Finals loss Monday to Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors. He just wants to move on and set his sights on gearing up for the subsequent NBA season. The Cavs forward took to his online platform Uninterrupted Trophies and reflected on the Game 5 loss.

“Obviously, it’s always disappointing when you get to the Finals, or you have that goal set out, and you want to bring it home, and you’re not able to accomplish it,” James said. “It’s always disappointing, but it’s never a failure when you’re able to put your teammates in positions that they’ve never been in. For the first time, guys like Kyle (Korver), D-Will (Deron Williams) and Flight (Derrick Williams) being a part of the Finals they never experienced before. Those are the things that make me happy."

“Kudos to the Golden State Warriors, much respect to them. Now time for me just to kind of revamp, see ways I can get better to help this franchise out next year so we can hoist that trophy again. But at the end of the day, I’m blessed to play the game that I love, blessed to be around great teammates, blessed to be around the greatest fans in the world here in Cleveland, and I’m looking forward to what’s to come.”

While getting a haircut, the Cavs forward talked about being able to provide an opportunity for his teammates who had never been to the finals and how important that was for him going into the playoffs. James humbly acknowledged the Warriors and their Finals victory and how he just wants to bring another championship trophy to Cleveland, his hometown.

This should quiet speculation James wants to leave the Cavaliers for another team like the Lakers, which most fans and sports analysts believe to be an obvious move for him.

James has always tried to position himself in the best way possible to win an NBA championship and has done so with success. He is a three-time NBA champion. He has won with the Miami Heat in back to back trips in 2012 and 2013 as well as his trip back to the Cavaliers in 2016 against the Warriors. Overall, he has been to the NBA Finals eight times over his career.

James has one of the most impressive NBA resumes during the regular season and postseasons respectively. Over the course of the 2016-17 season, James averaged a notable 26.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.7 assists almost notching a triple double. His numbers helped bring Cavaliers to the Finals, who had 51 wins and 31 losses.

James was just as impressive during the postseason. He played 42.4 minutes during the Finals. He averaged 33.6 points on 56.4 percent shooting 12.0 rebounds, 10.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. He became the first player in NBA history ever to average a triple-double in the NBA Finals.
