NCIS CBS
What will happen in “NCIS” when it returns on Jan. 3? Clayton Reeves will go on a mission. CBS

Less than a week remains for CBS show “NCIS” to return with a new episode.

Season 14, episode 11 promises to be an action-packed one that focuses on MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry). According to the synopsis of the episode, titled “Willoughby,” Gibbs’ (Mark Harmon) team will search for new leads when an undercover operation becomes compromised. Reeves went undercover in order to apprehend a businessman who uses acts of terror as a way to manipulated the stock market.

However, the mission goes sideways which leads to the NCIS team’s search for new leads on the case.

CBS released the promo of the upcoming episode, which will also be the first episode of the long-running procedural to air in 2017.

Here are three spoilers we learned from watching the video:

1. Clayton Reeves Is In Trouble

The video opens with a shot of a distressed Bishop (Emily Wickersham) looking on while someone is being transported for surgery on a hospital gurney. An agent has been injured. But who is it?

Judging from Alex’s (Jennifer Esposito) knowledge that Operation Willoughby is a suicide mission, it’s safe to assume that the agent on the stretcher is Reeves.

2. Gibbs Knows About Operation Willoughby

Director Vance (Rocky Carroll) tells Gibbs that the mission has been greenlighted. Which means, Gibbs knows about the undercover assignment. Later, the duo watch the MI6 Officer in action.

3. One Agent Will End Up In The Hospital

The trailer has an overall ominous tone and gives the obvious impression that one agent will be grievously harmed during the mission.

Bishop’s boyfriend Qasim Naasir (Rafi Silver) will appear in this episode.

“NCIS” Season 14, episode 11 premieres on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
