It looks like “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” fans will be rewarded for their viewership with a new trailer for “Avengers: Age of Ultron” that’s rumored to debut during the ABC show’s midseason premiere. Let’s just hope it doesn’t get leaked early this time.

The rumor comes from a website called Projection List, which allegedly posts schedules for the release of new trailers. The site claims that the third and final “Avengers: Age of Ultron” trailer is scheduled to debut during “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” when the series returns for the second half of its second season on March 3.

If the rumor -- which are currently unconfirmed -- ends up being true, it would fit Marvel Studio’s debut strategy. The first look at the superhero film was supposed to debut during an episode of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” but was leaked online early. ScreenRant notes that the traile release would benefit Marvel’s movie and TV wings as “Agents” was built on the foundation laid out by the first “Avengers” movie in 2012.

The events of every subsequent Marvel movie has directly tied into the show in one way or another and it’s more than likely that “Avengers: Age of Ultron” will have a profound impact on the remainder of the series. Already, Lady Sif from the “Thor” movies is set to make her second appearance in the series, Samuel L. Jackson has two guest spots under his belt and Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye has been long rumored to make a guest appearance as the first Avenger to make his way to TV. Even though many fans would count Coulson (Clark Gregg) as an Avenger in his own right.

A new trailer for “Age of Ultron” would be very welcomed by fans that are begging for more teasers from the upcoming sequel. The sequel will mash Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Ironman (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Renner) together for the first time since 2012 to battle the self-aware artificial intelligence Ultron (James Spader).

While the first two "Age of Ultron" trailers gave fans a whole lot to talk about, it was light on plot details. While many expect the third trailer to finally debut what Paul Bettany looks like as Vision, fans shouldn’t hold their breath. In a recent interview with Empire Online, Downey Jr. hinted that Bettany’s reveal as his new character is a central moment in the film’s plot, likely not to be teased without people paying the price of a movie ticket.

All questions will be answered when “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” returns to ABC on March 3 at 9 p.m. EST.
