Avenger fans will want to tune in to this year’s MTV Movie Awards for a special sneak peak at the upcoming Marvel film, “The Avengers: Age of Ultron." The new trailer, which is reportedly 90 seconds long, will play after a special Generation Award for “Iron Man” actor Robert Downey Jr. during the 2015 show.

Several members of Downey Jr.'s on-screen "Avengers" cast, including Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), will be on hand to present the award at the Nokia Center in Los Angeles April 12. There is no word if Tom Hiddleston (Loki) will make an appearance at the ceremony.

MTV said in their statement that they were “proud to announce that at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards, Academy Award-nominated actor, producer, philanthropist, and all-around bada-- Robert Downey Jr. will be honored for his incredible body of work in the film and television industry.” They described the 49-year-old actor as “capturing our hearts on screen over the past few decades, bringing his signature snark and jaw-dropping acting abilities to starring roles in major films.”

Downey Jr. has starred in hit films since the ‘80s with cult favorites like “Weird Science” and “Less Than Zero.” He received an Oscar nomination in 1992 for his portrayal of the iconic silent comedian Charlie Chaplin. Since then, he has thrilled audiences with memorable roles in “Short Cuts,” "Only You," “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” and “Zodiac” before landing his biggest box office role to date in 2008’s “Iron Man.”

This year's MTV Movie Awards, which will be hosted by Amy Schumer, will also hand out awards to “Get Hard” comedian Kevin Hart and “Insurgent” star Shailene Woodley. Other talent scheduled to appear includes Reese Witherspoon, Sofia Vergara, Miles Teller, Vin Diesel and late night host Jimmy Kimmel.

The 2015 MTV Movie Awards will air Sunday, April 12, at 8 p.m. EDT. “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” opens in theaters May 1.
