Yes, believe it or not, newly minted "Bachelorette" couple Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum believe in the sanctity of marriage.

Hebert and Rosenbaum, who became betrothed before a national audience on Monday night's season finale of the hit ABC series, say that they don't plan to follow suit and tie the knot on the small screen.

"I don't think you'll be seeing us on TV unless you Tivoed those episodes," Hebert asserted during a call with reporters on Tuesday, according to USA Today.

Added Rosenbaum, "We talk about it in jest sometimes, but no real thought has gone into it."

As to when the couple might walk the aisle, don't hold your breath; the couple says plans for the nuptials are nebulous at best.

"We're not going to wait five years to get married, but we're going to take it one step at a time," Hebert said.

In the meantime, the couple said, Hebert is planning a move to New York to be closer to Rosenbaum in the coming weeks.

Hebert and Rosenbaum might not be planning to wed onscreen, but ABC might be well-advised to guide them in that direction; a reliable ratings-winner for the network, the show grabbed the top two ratings slots with last night's finale, between the season's final episode and the follow-up special, "After the Final Rose."
