New Bachelorette Emily Maynard is ready to take another shot at love.

The beautiful Southern belle might not have found a soul mate in Brad Womack on ABC's The Bachelor, but Maynard has another chance at finding her Prince Charming with her very own season of The Bachelorette and 25 bachelors to choose from. Host Chris Harrison said Emily Maynard's new season will be the most drastically different yet.

Emily Maynard first became a primetime sensation when she appeared on Season 16 of ABC's 'The Bachelor. Maynard, a stunning 26-year-old from North Carolina, stole America's heart when she discussed her sorrowful past on The Bachelor. Maynard revealed that her high school sweetheart, racecar driver Ricky Hendrick, died in a tragic plane crash in 2004 just days before she found out she was pregnant with their daughter. Maynard gave birth to Josephine Riddick Ricki Hendrick on June 29, 2005.

Emily came over to the house the night after the memorial service and told us [Hendrick and his wife, Linda] she was pregnant, Ricky's father, Rick Hendrick, told Scene Daily in 2005. At the lowest time of our life, it was like a miracle that happened for us because we get a chance to have a piece of Ricky left. I can't describe how happy and how excited we are. We can't wait to see that baby's eyes. When she told us, it was hard to even believe. It was like God had given us back something. We had lost so much.

Emily Maynard is currently raising her now six-year-old daughter Ricki as a single mother in Charlotte, N.C. Her role as mother is the most important in her life and it is the focal point of the new season of The Bachelorette.

Host Harrison said that the result is a new season that's drastically different than anything we've ever done.

Her being a single mom definitely changed the tone, Harrison told the L.A. Times on Wednesday. Throughout the show, there was always just that underlying issue of, she's a mom, and is the guy ready?

I think what people will love - especially single moms - is that Emily is holding that banner high. There are several moments throughout this show where, for lack of a better term, people are going to say, 'Damn girl, well done, way to handle it.' You think she's this delicate little flower until right when she needs to handle her business. And she handles it very well, said Harrison.

The new season of The Bachelorette was filmed in Maynard's hometown in a European-style mansion as opposed to in Los Angeles in a raunchy Bachelor pad, reported The L.A. Times. Hopeful contestants were also told that they would compete for Maynard's affections in an effort to eliminate the least serious bachelors.

He added that there is a lot less frat-house humor and superficial drama.

You don't have the frat house humor and the frat house drama. Things have a much more serious tone and bigger issues. It's not the superficial drama you've seen in seasons past, he said.

The new season of ABC's hit The Bachelorette began filming in March.

We're still in production, Harrison told journalists on Wednesday. We started in Charlotte, which is quite exotic. It was fun to spend time there. And then we took off and went to Bermuda, and we went to London; Dubrovnik, Croatia; and Prague.

Emily Maynard was known as one of the most conservative contestants on The Bachelor when she was vying for Womack's attention. She did not want to get too intimate too quickly because of daughter Ricki. She was more reserved than other contestants, offering small pecks instead of steamy sleepovers.

Will there be overnight dates this season? That is a big question, said Harrison. What is a single mother to do? What is Emily going to do, and how will she handle that? ... That's going to be an interesting dilemma, said Harrison.

Although there are some sexy scenes, Chris Harrison maintained that Emily Maynard carries herself like a demure lady throughout the entire new season of The Bachelorette.

Honestly, I don't know if there is a hot tub scene in this season. I'm trying to think back. I know you'll see her in a bathing suit and see her in exotic locations, yes. She carries herself like a lady, as how she wants to be seen as a mother, he said.

She's not the crazy, bungee-jumping, sky-diving type of woman. She's a Southern gem who likes to wear high heels and dresses.
