UAE-based Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced on Monday that it would introduce a new cheaper fuel on October 8.

The new product will be called A PLUS OCTANE 91 and will be priced at DH 5.71 (USD 1.55) per gallon in all its fuel stations across the country.

The new product will be less expensive by one Dirham per gallon than the Super Octane 98 (Dh 6.75) and 50 fills than the Special Octane 95 (Dh6.25).

The introduction of the new fuel reflects the government's public interest in UAE and its effort to adopt measures to provide environment-friendly products as well as to diversify the national economy, underlined the report.

Octane 91 is developed following thorough and exhaustive studies by ADNOC Distribution in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TAKREER) and the parent company ADNOC, the report added.
