  • From Software maintained its silence of the latest details about "Elden Ring"
  • Lack of information about the upcoming RPG may be due to  gaming studio's advertising
  • New claim reveals reason why fans have not heard new information about "Elden Ring"

From Software announced the “Elden Ring” almost a year ago and, so far, fans have heard little details about the game. There were rumors earlier that the upcoming action role-playing game might arrive this year. However, if recent information about “Elden Ring” is to go by, it could disappoint the heart of expectant fans.

The latest information about Form Software’s “Elden Ring” came from former Game Informer senior editor, Imran Khan. On his Twitter account, Khan shared that things from game developer From Software people think are coming in 2020 might not arrive in 2020 or might not be shown this year. While Khan did not directly mention “Elden Ring,” several fans think that he is referring to the much-awaited action RPG.

It is also worth noting that “Elden Ring” has long been rumored to arrive in 2020. However, Khan mentioned that fans of the gaming studio have a lot of reasons to be happy in the next couple of years. Earlier reports suggested that From Software is planning to release “Bloodborne” on the PC port.

Taking this into consideration, releasing a game in a new port is far less work than launching a new one. So far, the gaming studio has not yet shared any new information about the “Elden Ring.” Some gaming sites believe that the lack of aggressive advertising could be behind the absence of new information about the forthcoming title.

However, given the latest information from Imran Khan, it is possible that From Software’s silence about “Elden Ring” may have something to do with its release window, which might not happen this year. The upcoming game attracted interests from fans since the gaming studio is known for creating high-quality games. Moreover, “Elden Ring” was penned by “Game of Thrones” writer and fantasy novelist George R. R. Martin.

From Software earlier announced that “Elden Ring” will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. If the game arrives a couple of years from now, it will launch on next generation gaming consoles—Xbox Series X and PS5. While the latest details are interesting and disheartening to some, it is worth noting that these are not official. In this case, take the information with a good measure of salt.
