A man from New Jersey has been arrested for kidnapping his 2 year old daughter and then locking her in a Delaware gas station.

The little girl, whose name has not been released, was found Sunday afternoon when a man who was waiting to use the restroom, heard her crying inside, according to Associated Press.

Her father, 25-year-old Dwayne Jackson of Edison, New Jersey, was charged Thursday with endangering the welfare of a child by the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office. He was being held in lieu of $750,000 bail.

The child, who had been living with her mother in North Brunswick, N.J., remains in Delaware with her foster family.

Incidentally, police in Monsey, N.Y., have said a woman whose burned body was found in a park is connected to the case. They are investigating if the body was the baby's mother.
